Our aim is to facilitate the connection between refugees, immigrants and employers in order to promote the integration of newcomers into German society.
SIR gathers information ahout job openings from various employers and these job opportunities cover:
- Internships (paid and unpaid)
- Vocational training programs
- Part-time positions
- Full-time positions
We encourage our job candidates to seriously consider accepting an internship, vocational training or mini-job position since it will provide you the opportunity to gain relevant work experience, practice and improve your German and hopefully, establish working friendships with your colleagues.
During these programs, employers have the opportunity to discover your motivation and skill set which could lead to an extended contract or a better position at the company. If this is not possible, the employer will provide you with a letter of recommendation that will enhance your new job search.
SIR recruits various employers to provide us with a detailed job description. These various positions can range from internships, vocational training programs to part- and full-time positions. This information is then saved in our database.
We meet with all possible job candidates who attend our CV preparation workshop (see below). After fully assessing your skills, German language ability level, interests and personality, we place this detailed information in our database and search for possible matching employers.
We kindly request that you meet with us personally and attend one or more of our CV preparation workshops.
These CV preparation workshops are held every Thursday (except on bank holidays) from 15:00 (3 pm) to 17:00 (5 pm) at Eine Welt Haus located at Schwanthalerstr. 80. Please find room number at the entrance of the building on the red sheet.
No appointment is necessary and the workshop is free.
Please bring the follow information with you:
Your ID (Ausweis or Passport)
Your Work Permit (Arbeitserlaubnis)
Your CV – if you already have one.
